America Recycles Day 2011

AMERICA RECYCLES DAY-2011
So, how should this expletive begin you may ask? Hmm...the sipping of of ice cold Litte Me Tea tropical is tantilizingly cold to my lips. My thoughts reflected back to my morning of watching the news and hearing of tomorrow, Nov. 15, 2011, 'America Recycles Day'! I was quite thrilled of the day of celebration, reflection and most importantly of all ACTION!
So what better way to celebrate tomorrow's call for action than a nifty little acronym:
Reduce waste
Elect to take action
Clean up our wasteful thoughts
Yell to the streets i.e. 'Educate'
Cause a course of action
Lift the proverbial blinders
Erase wasteful ways
Hmmm...could you do better? Give it a shot and post your acronyms! Now, for a little bit of history. A little 'trash for thought', an average person generates approximately 4.5 pounds of trash a day – about 1.5 tons of solid waste per year. Although the EPA estimates that 75 percent of solid waste is recyclable, only about 30 percent is actually recycled, www.greenwaste.com/recycling-stats!
In addition to standing up to Wallstreet for human fairness, it's only fair if we as humans stand up to take care of mother earth! With this unexplainable, unfathomable planet we couldn't exist! Yes, we are one little blimp in a cosmos of universes, but Earth is our home and needs to be gravely reevaluated before all is lost!!
